Project Description

Rotary Club of Yala, in collaboration with Kitini Secondary School in Godawari, Lalitpur, has successfully completed its year-long Coding and Robotics program for the 2025-2026 academic session. The program, which ran from June 2025 to April 2026, equipped around 60 middle and secondary-level students with essential 21st-century technology skills. Delivered entirely on Sundays, the program focused on foundations of electronics, robotics and block-based programming and maintained constant engagement of some 60 students, 30 each in robotics and coding, guided by a team of professional instructors from Dursikshya Education Network, through some 50 interactive sessions, 25 each in robotics and coding, during the academic year.
This initiative marks the second consecutive year-long program held at Kitini Secondary School, building on the momentum of an initial boot-camp launched during the 2023-24 Rota-year. The project aims to bridge the digital divide and prepare Nepali students for the country's rapidly growing technology sector. The academic year concluded with a high-profile showcase at the school's annual science fair, where students displayed 12 selected prototype projects. These innovative student designs focused on solving real-world problems for local communities and industries, demonstrating the deep impact and success of the training.
The total cost of the project is Rs. 180,000, with Rotary Club of Yala and Kitini Secondary School each contributing 50 percent of the project cost
